SNT UKRAINE has successfully modernized the corporate network of a large, geographically distributed industrial enterprise. The project covered five production sites connected by fiber-optic communication lines and involved hundreds of specialized network devices configured by the company's engineers. As a result, the performance, fault tolerance, and security of the complex network infrastructure were significantly improved.
The SNT UKRAINE team deployed solutions from Cisco Systems and Fortinet, including Cisco Meraki switches with centralized cloud-based management. The project utilized a ruggedized Meraki variant purpose-built for demanding industrial environments: it operates across a temperature range of −40 to +70 °C and is resistant to vibration and high levels of contamination. The fanless design enhances reliability in field conditions, while PoE+ support allows cameras, access points, and industrial sensors to be powered directly over the network cable — eliminating the need for separate power supplies at each device. The Meraki Dashboard gave system administrators a single pane of glass with real-time visibility across all five sites, along with the ability to remotely monitor traffic and perform diagnostics without being physically present on-site.
The project was carried out in close coordination with partners responsible for adjacent workstreams. A carefully optimized work schedule minimized downtime on the corporate network and ensured no disruption to the client's production and business processes.
The implemented solutions improved the performance of automation systems used by hundreds of the client's employees, while also strengthening the fault tolerance and cyber resilience of the network infrastructure. Cloud-based management has substantially simplified network support operations and reduced response times to network events of any kind.
